Naples fest screening Iran’s ‘The City of Honey’

The Naples Human Rights filmfest is hosting to Iran’s ‘The City of Honey’.

The Naples Human Rights Film Festival in Italy has been playing host to Iranian short flick ‘The City of Honey’.

The 12th edition of the Festival del Cinema dei Diritti Umani di Napoli (dubbed Naples Human Rights Film Festival) is currently screening Moeen Rouholamini’s 8-minute flick.

The film, made in Arabic language, has been set in a village named Aliabad Kavir to simulate the Syrian children’s life.

The story of the film revolves around two kids who are daydreaming about their future.

‘The City of Honey’ has so far gone on screen at several global events and won a number of awards, including the best film award at the Unknown Film Festival, the jury award at the Andaras Film Festival in Italy, and the best actor award for Hassan Khoshhalat at the Elba Film Festival in Italy.

The Naples Human Rights Film Festival mainly aims to accept the movies on issues of global and local social, cultural, economic and environmental problems.

The latest edition of the event kicked off on November 17 and will wrap up on November 28.
